How to Install python-speex software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

python-speex software package provides python bindings for Speex, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install python-speex

python-speex is installed in your system.

Make ensure the python-speex package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep python-speex *

You will get with python-speex package name, version, architecture and description in a table
